I use smf 1.0.5, noticed that i don't have the ability of announcements global or local, try to accomplish that with sticky topic but its not real sticky couse don't stick on every page of board, only in first page :(
I think this is a feature everyone needs in his forum, it should be there by default. ::)

i know im bumping this but im after something similar, does anybody know of a mod that offers this feature
Sticky topics are posted above all normal topics, why would they appear on pages beyond the first?
There is a Global Announcements (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=419) mod if you want a post that shows on every board.
Also, please don't bump two year old topics.
