Title: Removing profiles with no visits
Post by: KirkhamsEbooks on March 04, 2015, 11:14:08 PM
There's probably one or two thousand of these.

I'll be upgrading to the latest version of smf as of 4-4-2015

I can download the sql from my host, but how should I delete all those profiles?

2.1 is beta 1, not recommended for production forums.

You must have installed with no spam protection...

You will have to mass delete accounts in the admin memberlist functions.

Yeah when I first opened the forum I did. I started by charging a small monthly fee to post which stopped the spam posts, but didn't stop the registering until I setup the capcha. Still happens to some degree. Sounds like there's no way to do that by modifying the sql database after downloading them. Too bad.

You shouldn't remove them from the database directly.
However it is possible. You need to fetch all user IDs whose last visit is 0 then pass these IDs to function deleteMembers (Subs-Members.php)
This can be done with some small coding, methinks ;)

why bother?

The mass delete fro the admin memberlist can do 50 at a time....
