SMF Version: 2.1
php version: 5.6
MySQL version: 5.3 something, i think.
Description: When logged in as administrator, the who''s online page does register the number of guests but not what they are doing.Unless this was deprecated in 2.1 or it has to be turned on somewhere, it's a bug mesa thinks.
Does it show for logged in users?
Also, check Admin > Configuration > Features and Options > Enable who's online list

Yes, for logged in members it does show, but not for guests. On the index page however it does indicate the number of guests (And in my case, number of search engines) that are online. It wont show what they're up to however if i click the link at the bottom of the page.
Then it's a bug.
on the who's online page did you change the drop down to show guests? by default it does not show the actions of guests.

Oh, that could be it, I changed it in 2.1 to default to members only. I interpreted the OP as 'I see guests but none of their actions'
yea they see the guests on the board index but not on the who's online list.
