Title: Use CIDR ranges in ip ban triggers
Post by: shentino on June 13, 2015, 01:57:51 PM
You should be able to add CIDR ranges to ip ban triggers.

For example, I would like to add 66.249.64.0/19 to prevent the googlebot from looking at my board.

Then add your CIDR spec to .htaccess server side.

In short... No, we should not.   Bans should not be used that way in the forum and should be done in htaccess as shambles indicates

Also, ban Google?  Why? That seems stupid....

Can't you deny Google by robots.txt?
