Title: Error in configuring the theme directories - now forum not displaying
Post by: CrissyUK on October 07, 2015, 02:25:35 AM
Good morning,

I just moved hosts and whenever I first go on the forum I get a bar at the top with an error message saying that the directory for the theme is incorrect. I click on the bar and it takes me to a page where I can edit the directories.

I am using a child theme based on the default theme.

The forum stop displaying altogether when I entered the wrong directory in the last box at the bottom which asks the directory for the theme. Should this end with "default" or with the directory of my "child theme"?

Also, is there a php file I can edit to restore the site?

Many thanks  :)
Cristina

In case it happens to someone else this error is easily fixed in seconds via phpMyAdmin:

click on the smf_Themes table and edit the rows with the url for the theme directory.

:o :) :o

Or click the "Attempt to reset all themes" button on the Theme Settings page.
