Hello SMF community.

I run now for 9 5 Years a PHPBB Forum. I wanted to expand it a bit and found out that the extentions for this board are.. ****** :)
So is started some forum system testing and found SMF to be the best free board system from my point of view.

I did a test migration from my phpbb data and it wirked not bad. The forum permissions got lost and the subboard linking. What is not so bad becaus it is fixed fast.
But I have 2 problems on my list.

1. The BBCodes dont work. I ahve [IMG] bbcode tags in the articles on my board and they get just ingnored direct after converting the data. If I now opne a topic and save it again it jsut works. Is there a way i can simple update all data in the board. Becaus updating 43719 manualy are.... naa :)

2. BBCode get strange extentions after export. Do anyonw know where dis comes from and how I can avoid this?

Actually it's a bit trickier than that... I worked on converting a phpBB forum some months ago and I stumbled with these issues too.

phpBB's database already has the weirdo stuff after the youtube tag, it just strips them when showing you the content. Use this converter, it should take care of that for you

IMG bbcodes suffer from the same "fate" but these are even trickier and not very easy to fix. phpBB transforms some IMG bbcs in direct HTML image calls. It's not really easy to fix these...

Try this converter first, then let me know what's still wrong.
