Hi Diego,

Mate, nice theme. Can you change out the GN in the corners and change out the faded background for another picture of log?
Title: Re: Gaming Nation
Post by: Diego Andrés on October 26, 2016, 01:05:42 AM
Yes in theme settings you can put your logo's URL.
And you can just replace the image in Themes/GamingNation/images/theme/background.jpg

Thanks mate, when we are talking images, I'm talking about the one in the centre Botton footer (GN)
And the same in the very top left hand corner ?

GREAT theme :)
I love it !

Not specifically a theme question but............

I have two extra fields in profile (using Advanced Profile Fields)

return from one is "F1/Drag Racing" and from the other is "Lewis Hamilton"  (se image atta)
How do I force the returns to be on different lines ?

Thanks in advance :)

Nice theme!

I'm trying set the images for carousel with the admin menu, but don't work to me. What the correct link should I insert there?
What the right size for the image?

Thanks and congratulations for the nice work!

I'm very happy this theme is updated.  The Gaming Nation theme is very attractive, clean, and readable to my older eyes. :o  Extremely well done, Diego.

This is my first time at the customization rodeo, however. I had to make some minor, minor changes to the last iteration of your theme, mostly to default font colors and sizes in a couple of places and a custom background image to bring my forum in step with my main website's design.

I apologize if this newbie question has been asked a hundred times already, but...is it possible to update the theme to the 2.0.14 version without losing the customized changes to the current version? If not, I'll be at peace with that and manually do all the customization again, but if there's a way to save time while still deriving all the benefits of the update, I'd be thankful to know what that is, too.

All good wishes, and I look forward to your answer.  Cheers!

You only need to search for this in the index.template.php
<input type="hidden" name="hash_passwrd" value="" />
and replace it whut
<input type="hidden" name="hash_passwrd" value="" /><input type="hidden" name="', $context['session_var'], '" value="', $context['session_id'], '" />

And that's it  :)

Thank you very much! I can actually manage that.  ;D

Have a great week, Diego.

Hi again.  Is there anything else besides the index.template.php file that has been updated?  Despite my best efforts, I'm still experiencing the log-in error, "Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again." It doesn't occur every time I try to log in, but when it does (at least once a day), it takes repeated attempts and several page-refreshes before the log-in goes through.

Was just wondering if there's anything else I can try?  Thanks in advance for your thoughts and your help.

Is it happening using the quick login, or in the action=login of your forum?

Hi, Diego. Thank you for your reply. :)

Action=login only.  We don't use the quick log-in b/c we don't let unregistered users view the forum.

Hi, Diego. Thank you for your reply. :)

Action=login only.  We don't use the quick log-in b/c we don't let unregistered users view the forum.

Then make sure you updated your forum correctly with the last patch, the issue is coming from Login.template.php
Since GamingNation does no use this file, then it's from the default theme (Curve).

Thank you, Diego.  I did make the updates and edits to the index.template.php that were recommended.  I had started another thread about this for the reasons you point out (the problem with the Curve theme). I'll share your thoughts on this and see if anyone has any suggestions about editing the login.template.php. Thank you very much!

Back again.  I have another quick question I hope you can help me with.  A Detailed Version check of the Themes.Template.php in Gaming Nation's latest version shows it to be version 2.0.7, rather than SMF's current 2.0.12 version. (I have the same issue with a couple of outdated language files, actually.)

Is this something I could resolve on my own somehow, or should I not worry over it and just let it be? Thanks, Diego.

You have no need to worry about the "Template versions" It will not cause any issues so long as the code's up to date.

Hi, first of all, thank you for a neat theme!

Can any of you help me out with two things?
Remove the top bar in the first attachment. And remove the info box in 2nd attachment, because I have installed Simpleportal, and now I don't need this.

Hello,
First to all, thanks for this awesome theme. It has an incredible design.
I have a little problem with responsive mode. When I open the forum with my phone, i can not see the column "last message" with the information about the user and his/her last message.
Moreover, when I click in one theme (in responsive mode), the title of the theme doesn't appear in the correct place.
I attach both images with the problems to solve.

Thanks again. I wait for an answer.

Hello,

I am getting a HTTP ERROR 403 - Forbidden when uploading this theme via the Theme Manager in SMF Admin... I've also uploaded the theme via FTP in the /Themes directory, but I'm getting the same error when clicking "Save"...
I'm running SMF v2.1.1 btw.

Can you help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Thank you for your very fast answer. The directory permission of /Themes is 777. The directory permission of /Themes/Gaming-Nation_v1.3.1 is 755.
I've set the directory permissions of /Themes/Gaming-Nation_v1.3.1 and all files in it to 777, still getting the same error.

Are these permissions okay and do I need to check other permissions?
