hi,
should i install these 2 mods to kind of "future proof" my smf installation ?

and is there any other mods that are highly advised to install ?

Yes, why would not install them? I would say just stick with these if you're uncomfortable adding mods. Give these a try and see how it works out.

it's just that i don't want to install to many mods...
only the ones i need

I've been running SMF for years now and have never had to install either of those.

Make sure you're running the latest stable version of SMF (2.0.11).
