Alpha Centauri is a theme I have worked on before - but this time its only the theme left, no special features added. On the other hand its a modern theme with sci-fi inspired graphics and colors, and its HTML5/CSS3 based with responsive layout as well.
Very nice Bloc!
Another of your outstanding themes. 8)
Giving it a test run here:

Thanks :) Its a bit newer version than the one used at TinyPortal, menu for example, is improved(imho).
Attached is the source file for menubuttons, in case someone miss it from the theme files(removed it to avoid confusion).
I'm using it. It is a very nice theme indeed. Will use the menu buttons also. Without those the menu on smaller screen is all circles.
It seems something is a bit off there, will check it.
16.jul.2016 - v203: shrinked the menu buttons for mobile devices, updated source file for buttons + the css is changed to better suit the buttons.
EDIT: the menubuttons source file is now also available in the SMF theme site files.
Updated. Thanks. Though I'm still getting the circles on smaller devices. Another bug that you've sorted out in this version is that the drop down menu is now in front of the logo. Earlier it was behind the logo & difficult to click.
it looks very nice. it's modern, fast and responsive. When i browse from smartphone, I can't view thread icons on thread list page.
anyway, i don't want to make spam. take a look at this forum recently installed:
http://cuadernoborrador.byethost7.com/index.php?board=1.0
browse this from mobile; you can't see icons for that existing threads.
Looks nice, and I am going to use it. The major thing that bugs me is that the linktree disappears on mobile.
I love this :)

For the error, take a look here, http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=529072.msg3809513#msg3809513 Pretty sure it's relevant to that theme as well.

Bingo, thanks! :)
Seems gif files are sometimes broken when zipped..for some reason. :P I'll check and update.
Thanks!
action=admin;area=scheduledtasks is wild
I just installed this theme, and it's awesome! Thank you :D
The only trouble I have is with changing the background image. Every time I use the admin panel (I go to 'theme settings' then I fill path details for background picture) the background goes to complete black, and then I can't see the logo image I used for the forum title (I have a text logo with transparent background).
Strangely I did get one random test image to work but it's not the image I want.
Are there specific dimensions I need to use? Or specific file format (jpg, png, gif)?
(additional information: I am running SMF version 2.0.9, and also I am a complete beginner with most aspects of making a website/forum but I do know how to use FTP)
To anyone reading this ... I have just successfully loaded a URL to an image already online (as opposed to an image stored in the images folder of the root directory for the theme) and it works.
Problem solved :)
How can I use the menubuttons.psd?

How can I use the menubuttons.psd?
That's a Photoshop file, so if you have a image editor such as PS or one that can handle psd's you can edit the menu buttons to your liking.

You mean I had to cut every icon separately?
Or, add images into the PSD and generate a new image file that the system can use, and then use the correct offset for the menu location
Beautiful theme - lowered the menu below the header and is perfect for me.
Thanks bloc - hope you continue updating this one ;D
- No update needed on this theme for SMF 2.0.14, as it doesn't modify Login.template nor use the qick login form. There should be no trouble using this theme further.
Really nice theme, thank you Bloc. I'm having a little bit of issues with spacing for the front page. Granted, I am using tiny portal. Not sure if it's a TP spacing issue, or a theme issue... any help? Or should I go to TP and ask?
Try TP Admin > Front page,
Scroll down to layout types, and select, Picture + Article 2
Save.
Or if you want to keep that style, because that image actually aligns ok when using the default curve theme. So
Look in /Themes/alphacentauri203/css/index.css?fin20
On line 419 you should see,
clear: both;
Remove or comment out this line. Then press ctrl+F5 on your keyboard to see the changes.
One comment / warning when using this theme when you are on http:
In the index.template.php file there is a link to the baumans font that is not secure:
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Baumans
If your site is on https, the font does not get loaded properly. When inspecting the page it shows an error for mixed content.
To fix this I had to manually correct the template file to read:
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Baumans
Only then the font gets loaded on the site.
Thanks, I wasn't aware. I will add it to the template.
v20rev4 added: various css fixes for mobile view + fixed link for google font.
v2.0rev5 added: even more css fixes, updated theme links too.
how can i use fullscreen ?

Do you make an error when installing the mod? Maybe Manual Installation of Mods (https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Manual_installation_of_mods) After reading it and adapting it, it can work ;). Most mod are tested with the default theme and without any other modification, the custom themes may not follow certain lines and that is why there are adapting them but it is not complex!
Regards!
