Title: update error from 2.0.11 to 2.0.12
Post by: duncanfraiser on October 19, 2016, 12:14:21 PM
I keep getting permissions error when trying to update to 2.0.12
An Error Has Occurred!
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!
The first tim I tried I was able to see a list of files that needed to be writable, I changed them all but still get the same error, but now I don't have a list of the locked files.

do you have a backup and temp folder in the packages folder? if not try creating them and trying again.

I had a backups folder but I added backup and temp and still can't update. Is there a way to see which files are causing the error?

if it is "backups" then issue:

'cd /var/www/html/Packages' or wherever you know where the Packages directory to live.

confirm with 'pwd'

then issue a 'ls -dal backups' and report back.

it will show you what the flags are. I hope this makes sense as I am running CentOS.
