Title: Arabic names
Post by: natcip on February 10, 2017, 01:28:37 PM
Hi everyone!

A frequent user on my forum is using an Arabic display name, but the fact that the board is trying to adjust Arabic signs to the right kinda messes up the page listing of a topic (given he's the topic starter).

Usually it looks like this:
QuoteTopic name
Started by Username « 1 2 3 »

Example, Arabic username:
QuoteTopic name
Started by اسم المستخدم « 1 2 3 ... 5 »

Is there any solution for this? :)

that is because he is using the arabic language and it moves things like that around as it is right to left language.

Obviously. The question is how to fix it. I suspect it would require a span set to float left, or something similar, which could require a lot of code tweaks in a lot of places. Unless there is some simple option that could target Arabic in Sources.

No, I'm using the theme "Redsy". But it's also on the default SMF theme.
