Hi there! My forums randomly got the white screen of death, I restored all the files to a week ago and it still is not working, i was wondering if anyone could help me fix the issues i'm currently running in to. Remove all Modification files by uninstall or by deleting them (File directory).
Download SMF, decompress , by FTP copy all default forum files in the forum folder at your server.
And it will work again by be a New Day for you.
Messages, Database, attachments, will be there as they was and before.

i would NOT recommend doing the above. i would first recommend you contact your host about those errors.
I am also an admin at that site. Hostmonster says it is not their issue. Cam and I are both newbies at this. Is there any other suggested troubleshooting we can do to isolate this?

Could this be a version issue? Apparently hostmonster did some upgrade about the time our issue started. We are on mySQL 5.6.32 and PHP 5.4.43

I get what you both are saying. It would be nice if we could get it back up before changing hosts. I checked and index.php is in that directory.
For the record running repair_settings.php fixed this.

I can not imaging anything which repair settings updates that could cause, or fix the wsod
I am no expert in SMF or mySQL but I was able to locate a password conflict between the two. Once I uncovered the password discrepancy with repair_settings the fix was fairly simple. This was a database connection issue. Perhaps the term WSOD was a mistake in description by us newbies.
