Title: Photobucket blackmail!
Post by: ModelBoatMayhem on July 28, 2017, 05:50:20 AM

With the Photobucket "Ransomware" blackmail debacle continuing, what other solutions are you  coming up with for high image use SMF Forums?

1. I want a simple "Click Here" Link to upload photos, ( like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc, etc.).
2. Auto compress and resize.
2. Because of #@£&%y Photobucket,  I want all images uploaded to my hosted server ( or an additional server if required ) so they are under my management.

NB: I like and tried PostImage.org but have found it extremely unreliable and sometimes displays inappropriate ( adult ) ads - good API though!

What is your chosen solution?

No server is forever, and that happened with others like Imageshack, went to the "premium" route and leave all the users without images if they didn't upgrade.

Most people use imgur or tinypic in my forum, and some use puush or gyazo mainly for screenshots.
