Hi everyone,
I have a suggestion. I have seen many useful mods but being outdated* either the original creators had moved on to other things or other reasons.
The same for also mod requests. Some developers seem interest to build if the price is right.
If SMF site admin can take the lead organize the crowd fund process to revive any outdated mods, then we the end-users more likely are willing to contribute to the financial goal.
*p/s: I make it clear here, outdated mod means it no longer works even with emulation like this one: https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=318290.0 and many others.
You can always post in the help wanted some developers will see it if not pm the original author as well and ask to fund it.
No.
Simple machines, as an organization, will never do this.
As a matter of fact, doing this is not even possible with many mods, since their license may not allow such actions... but even in other cases, simple machines has enough to do to support and develop the forum itself, we do not have the time nor desire to support mods... and we are not going to mess with crowd funding mod support.
