Hi when i first started building this forum, it was going to be for losing weight so the domain http://biggerpeopleschallenge.org.uk/ was chosen, the forum has now expanded to a more diverse forum, even though it is new, if i wanted to keep it on the same hosting but change domains how would i do that please?

you'd have to talk to your host about how to set up a new domain on your hosting service....
then set that as your primary domain (again, with the host)
then change the forum to use the new domain (use repair_settings.php) https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Repair_settings.php
then set up a forced redirect (and 301) to automatically bounce anyone who hits the old domain to the new one.
How you do that would depend on what OS is being used by your host.
For Linux/Apache - use .htacccess
