So im working on this 2.0 theme. It uses SMF responsive mod (thanx team for doing this). Responsive dropdown menu, blah blah blah mobile friendly. ...and as always, simple themes are better.

i was looking for a 'like' button lol, thanx bro
Anytime. :)
Nice job on the theme Mick. Not a lover of pink 8) but wanted to give it a try and see how it hangs out with the now responsive Tinyportal installed, have to say it works nicely.
I have one small issue though, for me the blue text in the welcome area (top right) is a bit difficult to see against the dark background. Other than that it's very clean and great looking.
Its always nice to see talented people to create new things in SMF :) and I'm glad responsive_curve helping theme authors to shape their base responsiveness.

Thanx bro... yea, im not a fan of pink either lol, heck my site is green and i dont like it either, im more of a blue type of guy lol. The color in the user area is easy to change. This template is plain, it has nothing extra like social icons, google ad placement like ive done on my other themes. This theme is very lightweight, under 400kb. Not like most themes that are over a 1000kb.My theme dont use images, just colors since that's my style. Simple and flat without the clutter. Ive seen people using bootstrap for the mobile menu, i didnt use it. Personally i dont like how the responsiveness takes the simpleportal blocks and drops it below the forum in mobile view, it should be display: none.

I wish i had known about responsive_curve before. Until 4 days ago, i found it in the mod site. I made my site responsive years ago but never ventured the admin area and profile. Im glad the team did, they saved me a lot of time lol and themes can be cooked out much faster.
btw, this theme has been in the cue for approval here or you can get a copy at my site.
It looks very good! It's nice to see a SMF Friend getting back to 'action' :P

Hahahaha thanx man, i took a 4 year leave, now that im back, things have changed for sure, trying to dabble SMF again.
I like the base very much :P I will probably use it for the new version of my site... I'll see if I take time! ... great work @Mick.
not bad. :)
It's clean, but a little angular/cornered for my tastes.
I'm a fan of low image designs... but you can accomplish a whole bunch without images that don't look quote as blocky. :)
For example: The only images we use on fx-sabers is the background and the header.

Yup, i dont use images at all. My style is a template without the clutter, Simple is better lol Yeah,, rounded corners, easy fix.
What are your thoughts on Bootstrap-based themes? It makes creating columns almost too simple, and really helps keeping themes responsive with little effort

you don't need bootstrap to make it responsive. My site is responsive with no bootstrap. It's all css work. Then again, I've not ventured how these other themes are using it

Bootstrap requires complete rewrite for each of the template otherwise it won't be as effective as you think.

I download a copy of bootstrap generic template yesterday. It seems to make it effective, you would have to modify the main files, display.template, profile.templeate, index.template, board.index and so on and leave admin alone. Admin duties should be performed behind desktop instead of mobile device.. That's a lot of work. When adding mods, this could be a problem. Nah, im not using bootstrap. I dont need it.
Just love how simple it is to implement buttons, sign-in modals,
carousel, etc. I think once implemented, everything else becomes easy, except the hard part is its implementation to which I understand your point.
