Title: Hide News but Keep News Fader

I was wondering if there was a way to hide the news at the top but still have the news fader still work.  Thanks

Admin > Configuration > Current Theme.  Uncheck "Enable random news line in the forum header: "  Save.

Doesn't that disable the fader?

No, they're separate options.
