Is this possible?
moderator of member group is a regular user. Can they be allowed to send email to all members of the group as a mass email?
I've never done it before, but I think you can ;).
Admin --> Members --> Permissions --> General Permissions --> Moderator --> Modify
Switch to Classic view.

Go to Member administration.

i think they want a limited newsletter, i am not sure that the newsletter feature can be limited to which groups you can send them to.
That works, but it is kind of global. I was hoping to be able to limit them to send 'only' to the membergroup they are the moderator for (as opposed to being able to send to any or all member groups).
Thanks!
Let me explain a little more clearly,
What i am looking to do is in the SelectMailingMembers function in ManageNews.php. If the user is not in the Administrator group, then look at the groups to see if they are a moderator of the group. If they are, include the group in the list to offer, if not, don't include that group in the list to offer. Anyone know how to make a change like that?
Thanks
There currently is no feature or mod that does that
you could use the "PM membergroups" mod and just give permission to the moderators.
hey, where's your fabulous mod gone ?
i can attach it with your permission

EDIT: ignore, this isn't quite what you want but could create new membergroups per moderator and go from there

That's cool - id be willing to be a guinea pig to code and test such a mod, but it my php and sql skills are not strong enough that i could do it quickly. Anyone want to offer some advice? Thanks
