Whenever I try to merge topics I always loose already existing polls, didn't really have this problem before. What can be a reason?
Would have to check but I assume this is because if you try to merge two topics both with polls, one has to go because SMF physically can only handle one poll per topic in the database and I assume the topic you merge from has to lose any poll it has.
I suspect it probably ends up removing both to avoid such issues but merging poll topics isn't that common in practice which is why I don't think anyone mentioned it before.
I tried to merge topics with one poll that's why I am surprised where did it disappeared and it has been happening for a few times already. I installed one mod which allows to add many polls, maybe it has influence on this?
All bets are off with that.
