Title: "Add to Home screen" Script for Mobile Sites
Post by: Biology Forums on November 16, 2018, 01:37:32 AM
Has anyone successfully managed to add the "Add ______ to Home screen" prompt when using the website on mobile?

Websites are starting to behave more like apps these days, and I've seen this popup several times on different sites using Chrome (on Android).

I tried adding a manifest.json information via the link: https://biology-forums.com/favicons/manifest.json though it doesn't seem to work.

Be interested to know if anyone has a solution for this.

Reading through this, It seems simple to do with chrome, idk about other browsers, they're probably similar though

Also It doesn't just create an app for mobile, but also for desktop
