Title: There must be a converter for XenForo

Xenforo is a modern and a good looking layout forum. Many people like me sometimes get started with Xenforo and pay a license fee for some time. But then they realize that it is very costly because we have to buy different mods there and even to upgrade the forum, we need to pay the renewal charges.

So in that case, we might plan to convert the forum to SMF or other Free script. I don't know about others, but I am familiar with SMF so I wanted to convert my Xenforo to SMF but couldn't find a converter.

I hope someone will create a converter to convert XenForo to SMF.

Not one yet. Right now route is to convert mybb to SMF.

Not at the moment. Might get tricky with logins would require probably a code change to SMF to support their hashing function.

May I ask why you would need that? I was under the impression that a user would have to request a new password after the conversion, like when you forgot the current one.

Yes, they could do that but some people may not know what is wrong and get frustrated. It is more for user experience.

I just recently did the three step convert, xenforo to mybb then to smf and went off without a hitch. Everything is there and working great. I know it's a little time consuming but gets the job done.

It was 1.5.7, never updated to 2.1 since some of the old addons wouldn't work.
