here is what I would like to do. having a main catagory as the exampe below shows I would like to have sub catagories then the Forums listed under as example
General Discussion == 1st Main Category
-- 1st Sub category == Sub Cat for forums
---- 1st Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 2nd Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 3rd Forum == Posting Allowed
-- 2nd Sub category == Sub Cat for forums
---- 1st Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 2nd Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 3rd Forum == Posting Allowed
Buy Sell Trade == 2nd Main Category
-- 1st Sub category == Sub Cat for forums
---- 1st Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 2nd Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 3rd Forum == Posting Allowed
-- 2nd Sub category == Sub Cat for forums
---- 1st Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 2nd Forum == Posting Allowed
---- 3rd Forum == Posting Allowed
You can't make them actual categories, but you could make them boards and set them to be read only.
Or you could just not have subcategories, they aren't really necessary and just confuse people more than they help.
