Title: A way to show a topic/post in multiple boards?
Post by: avwebsites on February 10, 2019, 04:07:39 PM
Hi everyone:

So for Simple Machines Forum has been perfect for me.  It looks like you guys have thought of everything!

I did a brief search and couldn't find any further information:  Is there a way to show a topic/post in more than one board?  For example, a shortcut? (I'm running version 2.0.15

In advance, thanks for any input!

you cant by default. you would need a mod to do so.

...I thought so.

I did a brief search on the SMF mod site, and didn't see anything, but perhaps I was searching using the wrong description.

Probably because there's been a few attempts at it (global topics or global announcements, I think they were called) but had some various bugs.

May be of some use?

Quote from: The ModThis mod adds a new option to clone a topic to multiple boards by creating an alias or symbolic link to the original topic. This comes in handy when you want a topic to display in different boards in your forum.
