Title: I installed my forum to my namecheap server, but why is the layout messed up?
Post by: Catherine Constantine on March 10, 2019, 03:26:08 PM
I navigate to my forum and it looks like this... any idea why?

Figures there is always something else to irritate me. O:)

Hello! Please take a look at this: What is repair_settings.php? (https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Repair_settings.php)

I ran the repair_setup.php and got the themes working correctly, but do I need to run it again for these issues.

I logged out to see something and now I am getting these when I try to log back in.

It's a bug in your theme - see https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Login_error_2.0.14 which was apparently not fixed in the Core theme shipped with new installs.

I fixed it using the repair_setup.php but now I am having a new issue when logging in.

I get these messages whenever I try to log in with my admin name or my display name.

Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again.

Unable to verify-referring url. Please go back and try again.

Actually, I was able to log in when I click on the login link, but the quick login features seem to be broken.

This is the problem with the quick login part of your theme.

You'll have to do a little searching but somewhere on this forum is a fix posted for that I believe.

I'm running 2.0.15 which was incrementally upgraded from 2.0.13 I think.

I get the "Unable to verify-referring url. Please go back and try again" error from  time to time when trying to login to admin..

Arantor in regard to that link you posted https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Login_error_2.0.14
is that required even if using the default curve theme? (That's what I'm using, along with the Responsive Curve' mod).

No, it's fixed on Curve, but the change in 2.0.14 only affects core login, not admin login.
