I seem to have done something right and traffic is picking up quite well. I'd like to have notifications for new registrations who are waiting for approval, and all activity on the boards. Is there a setting which will allow me to be notified for all?

For registrations you can set it from your Admin Panel->Members->Registration->Settings->Notify administrators when a new member joins. Regarding the notifications for boards, you must suscribe to them.
Huh.... Mine is set and apparently always has been. I have had 30 new legitimate registrations this week and haven't received any email notifications.
