Title: Select theme button on homepage / forum index
Post by: kruimeltje on April 14, 2019, 04:33:31 PM
Hi,

A button for selecting themes would be a great feature.
So users can easy and fast switch themes. (I usually switch between a light theme, during the day and a dark theme at night, on forums)

The button could be located on the top section (like the select language button) or on the footer.

I think there are mods that do that.

For example: https://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1342

Portals have theme switcher blocks too...

Example mod is pretty outdated, last update 2009.
And to install a portal only for a button to switch themes.. ;)

I think (not sure if there is more demand for it) that this would be a great core-feature.

Would likely not ever be a standard feature since 90% of the systems use only a single theme anyway.

That's why mods exist. :D

This is a similar mod that looks to be currently supported- https://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3356
