Title: Yabb to SMF converter questions
Post by: mlsred on November 15, 2005, 08:03:41 AM
Hi

I have YaBB 1 Gold - SP 1.1! Board with 5215 members, Topics: 11264 & Total Posts: 191089.

I have two questions. If I use the Yabb to SMF converter to see if it works will it leave my YaBB 1 Gold - SP 1.1! Intact? I wouldn't want to lose anything whilst I test it out..

Secondly, my host provides me with a 100mb database as part of the package. Based on the size of my forum will this be enough space for SMF and all these messages etc?

Thanks in advance..
M

Your YaBB board will be left intact - SMF just reads the data in the files and converts it before inserting it into the database, so the original data isn't changed.

100MB should be plenty.
