When I attach an image, why does it show the code:
69cb750rcmbl.jpg
in the post, then the image below the post? ..or actually the thumbnail.

Admin -> Forum -> Attachments & Avatars -> Attachements Settings -> Do not show attachments under the post if they are already embedded in it.
Thanks, I did that and now all I see is a download link. Don't see the image.
I've also enabled just the bbc that involves images.

I have it set so guests can see attachments. I can change it.

Yes, but I've only tried 2.
If I "show" image under post, then I get the thumbnail, under the post and the code shows as I indicated above.

I took off resizing of images. I hope it will still resize images that are over my 700 x 700pxl limit.
That's what I'm after.
Does the software do that automatically? If not most people won't go to the trouble of doing it themselves.

That shouldn't happen, It might be a mod messing with the parsing of attachments,

It will resize it on the html level afaik
I think I remember a setting to let html resize the image, but wasn't that 2.0.15?
I'll look for that setting in 2.1 rc2. No that setting is not in the newer version.
My only mods are: tiny portal, ad management, zen blocks.
They all installed without issue.
I think it is resizing.....
