Title: SMF running slowly
Post by: jthomas on June 23, 2019, 10:52:19 AM
Hi,

I've come across some server problems with a forum I've been assisting with. I've just taken over the webmaster duties for the site so I'm not that experienced with SMF.

The forum has become super slow over the last few days - I've tried most of things I've read on here but nothing seems to have worked.

Forum Link - derbyshiresoaringclub.org.uk/smf
Status.php - derbyshiresoaringclub.org.uk/smf/status.php
phpinfo - derbyshiresoaringclub.org.uk/smf/phpinfo.php

The forum is running on a dedicated DigitalOcean droplet - Ubuntu 14.04.6 LTS 3.13.0-79-generic x86_64, Intel Xeon E5-2630L v2. It's also running a WordPress installation, which serves as the main website.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Where is the SMF copyright stuff? Until it's there you probably won't get any help from anyone

Have you checked forum error log and server log?  I've seen WP installs logging gigabytes of server errors, keeps the server busy.  Also take a look at your cpu usage, if server collects those stats.
