Hi fellows, I would like to put code into my system that
- adds a log entry when a user amends his own email-address
- writes x changed his email FROM (old) TO (new)
Is there a mod that already does this?
Has anybody some code lines that I can put in?
Many thanks for any construtive help!!
users profile -> track user -> profile edits has this information already
it is not in one location for all users but it is in their own profiles.
As long as it is turned on, it isn't by default to save space in the database.

Fine, but just that is what I ask for.
And to save db-memory only the email-address.

which setting is that? I don't see one specifically for that.

no you did not ask for that, you asked to log the change, which is already logged. you did not say where you wanted it.

In the logs. Not in the profile. I thought that would be logic. ;)
These logs: Admin > Maintenance > Logs > User
there is no feature or mod to do this.
Tracking this information may be of questionable legality in some areas as well.
let's ask the obvious follow-up question.
WHY do you think you need to track this information?

I already answered that this is logged in the profile of the user. why do you say this feature does not exist?
there is no feature or mod to specifically log these changes in a separate log list, as the user expanded his request to include.
So the change is part of the "Moderation and Admin Logs" core feature.
As for the change, you wanted constructive advice, which is "the feature exists already" and "no one wants to waste time reimplementing something SMF already has".
