Otsikko: Significant DB size change (almost double) since moving to 2.0.16
Kirjoitti: aegersz - maaliskuu 05, 2020, 08:14:03 IP
Here is my DB prior to the upgrade to 2.0.17:

75618175 Feb 28 07:00 database_smf209_28-02-2020_04-01-15.sql

And here it is now:

130412891 Mar  6 06:30 database_smf209_06-03-2020_06-30-01.sql

is this to be expected ?

Which table grew?

Also, 2.0.17 or 2.1? Just checking as you posted in the 2.1 board.

sorry about that - please move to 2.0.

I don't know which table grew but let me see if I can find that out.

Error log was the culprit  ~ not good !

I had to upgrade the Ultimate Menu mod to 1.0.3  to alleviate some of the errors but still am logging  many errors

Please share a sample of the error messages.  Might help.

Note that 7.2/7.3 support in 2.0.x is accomplished mainly by suppressing 'deprecated' error messages.  A couple people have reported that the error suppression isn't working.  I cannot replicate this & do not see it (I'm running 7.3 in my test environments).

The most likely suspect...  If the symptom is "Function create_function() is deprecated" messages from Subs.php, one solution that appears to work was shared here, a quick update to Errors.php:

I would also suggest moving to 2.0.17 for the reasons indicated in the release announcement.

sorry but I started another thread as now after updating the mod, i solved these errors but I still get "Undefined Index" errors by the dozen when accessing the Forum tab (I use Simple Portal).

so i will close this thread as my Ultimate Menu issues have now been fixed since I upgraded the mod.

my next issue re. different errors is here (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=572140)
