Title: SMF cpanel Backup
Post by: Paffman on June 05, 2020, 08:11:15 PM
I have had a real bad time loosing two SMF and then all the work getting them back.

Went and created a complete home backup (5.45GB) and wanted to download to a USB flash drive. I used a 32GB drive, but around half way downloading I got the error "Disk full", I got a 256GB flash drive and still I get this message. What is the problem with downloading to a flash drive?

I have managed to download it to my PC, but wanted to keep a copy on a flash drive.

Which file system are you using on the USB drive?

and on a side note, you said you did a home backup (not a full backup?).....did you also backup the database?
just want to make sure....
if you do a home back up it will not have your databases in it....you will need to download each database as well....

if you are completely sure that your flash drive is empty (and there's no hidden files on them) you can try to reformat them and see if that doesn't help

Sorry for the delay, I found that I have the memory stick formatted in Fat, once formatted in NTFS all was well.
