I know I have seen this asked before but finding it hard to find the answer. Is their a way that a smiley set can be set for only specific member group on 2.0.17.
I have a new smiley group called Stars and I want only certain preset member groups to have access. Currently doing it through an images folder and using bbc tags to add but be great to make it simpler. And doug_ips before you ask I tried repair_settings.php :P

not by default. even if you had a mod for it, nothing stops someone from using bbc to use the same images.

Thanks Illori, in all honesty that bit im not worried about just want to make things simpler when posting :)
how about the hidden smileys that dont display? you can tell those in the group what the shortcut is and let them have at it. over time others may pick up what they are as well.
in honesty its 2 images for new site im working on like thumbs up and thumbs down but in a post, i will just use the images for now and then work on it more during the month some other way to do it may comes to me.

are you wanting them to be displayed to everyone or only admin/mods
there's a bbc code i believe to add a note in your post that only admin/mod can read, you could probably tweak thet to suit your needs
use the message boxes bbc and the Admin Only BBC somehow to tweak it

After posting and speaking as above I decided to leave it for now, the site wont be launched till 1 July, so I am in no rush to get this sorted at this time, however your suggestions have been taken onboard and ill let you know what step I decide to take to proceed with this at a later date.
