Title: Default Landing Page

I'm sorry if this is  the wrong place to post this question. I am going to have lots of questions and not sure if to open a topic for each one.
My questions right now.

1) How do I  set the default landing page for members and guests to be the Home Page and NOT the Forum Page.
2) Whats the best way to ensure mobile users don't have to zoom in and out to use the forum. I use a Samsung and I'm always zooming in and out,  even to post this question.

1. - If you install a portal, default is usually to portal homepage, which includes menu link to forum.

2. - You'll have to install a responsive theme.

I've used it, don't like it. :P  There are some very good responsive themes.  Have a look at SychO's Nightbreeze (https://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=2917).
