Title: Old SMF Updates in Package Manager - Delete?
Post by: statusjpn on October 18, 2020, 12:13:19 PM
Hello there,

Just have a quick question, not a problem per say. As the years goes on, my package manager is becoming very cluttered with the previous SMF version updates.

Are these safe to delete or am i better off just leaving them there? Such as 2.0.12, 2.0.13, 2.0.14, etc.

Please take a look at my attachment for what i mean.

Looking forward to your advice, thank you!

I my opinion you don't need them for anything. I always remove all update packages except latest one.

I think that you can safely delete them.

As long as you don't uninstall before deleting.

Thanks all for the reply!

Aside to Arantor - for the old SMF update files, there is nothing to "un-install" per say? So i should just go ahead and delete them?

Cheers! 8)

An update can be uninstalled, same as any other mod, if it causes a problem or breaks another mod.  If it installed without errors and everything works, you can delete it.
