Our forum itself is new, but I'm not new to forum management. It looks really odd to see Administrator under my name and then "Newbie" under that. Is there a way to keep that designation from showing up for administrators and moderators without removing it for everyone?

while it does look kind of strange remember that the "newbie" is just a post group while the "admin" is a special group....
you could also rename newbie to whatever you'd find more fitting for people with 0 - x amount of posts or add stars or other images

If you have few Post based membergroups you can make some with some epic name and to require some serious number of posts to get it. Then as administrator you go to your Profile/Modify Profile/Account Settings/ and increase the number of your posts and boom, Newbie is gone, you are some awesome super powerful admin now and all others will see it as something unusual and special ;)
