I am trying to change the theme on my install and I am getting a forbidden message. What can I do?

are you sure that the theme you are trying to use is for the the smf version you are using?

if you aren't able to do anything else after trying to change the theme you can upload the repair_settings.php and run it, make sure to check the box to reset theme to defualt

Thanks I solved the issue. It was the pretty URL mod that was creating the issue.
