PHP Deprecated is due to the php version
which version of smf are you trying to convert to?
smf 2.0.18 works with php7.4 but anything lower will not
try lowering your php to 7.2 until after the conversion.
Is the phpBB conversion script still chock full of weird errors with post content, etc? Or have they been fixed?
