Title: Annoying users post moderation
Post by: MoonCat on May 03, 2021, 02:55:32 AM
Looking for advice on how to properly setup post moderation feature.
Normally, post moderation of the posted topics is enabled for beginners only (up to 5 posts).

Occasionally, there is a need to put some annoying user on warning and moderate his/her posts.
How to do it, by only adding the users to an additional permission profile with moderation properties?
I've tried creating a group with properties similar to the novice user, then added the user to this group. But the user is able to post w/o moderation.

Appreciate your guidance.
Thanks!

Hmm kinda, that's one way to do it of course but there's also the warning system as you mentioned: https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Warning

You could issue a warning to a certain level and make it so all posts from warned users require approval. Plus on top of that you could configure it to decrease the warning level per day automatically and such from the administration page index.php?action=admin;area=securitysettings;sa=moderation; the feature works very well :)
