Do you see the table in the database?
hi yes it does this wheater i leave the new setting in the database or not
? Don't know what that means. The error indicates forum is connecting to database but table is missing. Are the tables in the database? There should be 63 tables minimum. Is table prefix correct?
i intalled fresh smf on new server then i droped all areas in sql database and then imported the database from old sever now no matter wheater i leave the new settings file there or not i get that message

How did you backup the database through the admin panel or from the server. Because if you done it from the admin panel it might explain why some tables are missing as it's not reliable to backup through the admin panel.
1- you imported the contents of the old database to the new database?
As indicated -- confirm that ALL tables are actually present.
2- Did you confirm that your Settings.php actually HAS the correct connection information?
3- Did you update all of the PATHs and URLs in the database to match your new server (using repair_settings.php)?
hi
i have moved forums to different servers over the years and never have had this problem
if i message you with details can you please help me please
If you can pm cpanel access (url/user/pw) I'll have a look. Would also help if you can upload database dump somewhere where I can get it.
