Title: Attachment integrity check
Post by: Shades. on September 13, 2021, 03:38:37 PM
So I ran the Attachment integrity check on my test site which is a copy of my 2.0.18 upgraded to 2.1RC4 and it shows
QuoteThe following errors were found during maintenance. Check the box next to the errors you wish to fix and hit continue.

5 attachments/avatars have an entry but no longer exist on disk
4 attachments no longer have a message associated with them
1 files do not have a corresponding entry in the database. (These will be deleted)

Will the top 2 choices remove the attachments/avatars too or will it try to fix them? I have some images that show up for members but not guests and I have it set where guests can view attachments too. ???

Ok I will leave that alone then! 8)

This is probably a question for EHPortal but I can't access their site for some reason (firewall or something) but why would visitors not be able to see avatars on the ehportal front page but can see them in posts?

I've had so much trouble upgrading from 2.0.18 to 2.1RC4, thankfully its just a test copy of my original site. That being said, before upgrading, the avatars showed up fine for guests but after upgrading they don't show. I know 2.0.18 is simple portal and 2.1 is ehportal but...

I have another site with a fresh install of 2.1RC4 and ehportal installed and the avatars show up fine on it! Just not on my upgraded forum! Hope what I'm saying makes since cause it's hard to explain lol!

they are not working correctly, i would do the repair/remove them as long as you have a good backup you can restore if you ever notice something is not working correctly.

Ok just tried that and it removed all my avatars so I restored them with my backup. Any other ways to fix this or will the users just have to reupload avatars and not sure what attachments that are affected?
