l'd appreciate if people who run advertising on their forum would post their forum URL's below (or via PM to me if preferred)
I kinda want to see what's possible, where ads can be displayed, how good (or bad) ads can appear etc.
If you post your forum I'd also appreciate if you could mention what mod/s you use to manage the advertising.
For clarity I mean DISPLAY advertising, not classifieds. :)

You can check out my Forum. We are a very very small Forum with minimalistic Advertising. I have only 1 small Block (Tiny Portal) where I put up an Amazon Banner. Even with my low membership count, the account helps me pay for Domain and Hosting charges. Really not monetized in the true sense but self-sufficient.

I use ad seller mod and tinyportal to place ads
I hid the ad seller's right and left ad spaces in the themes and instead placed the code inside blocks on tinyportal so it matches in better
also used tps block to create a sponsors ad box that rotates on page load, and people can pay for through paypal to add their sites in that box
and used ad seller to place ads after the first and last posts in topics

You see how our forum runs its banners, I can give you the code for that if you like?, allows 4 banners at the top plus 4 at the bottom if you want that many, can of course also only run top or bottom and 2 banners instead of 4 :). You will need TinyPortal to use this though :).
I only have 3 slots.
Site wide top banner (everywhere) and 2 slots on sidebar (topic only)
On the footer, I use buttons redirected to SMF downloads

Ty. I avoid Chrome like the plague. Anyways, I didn't see that when i visited my site but did noticed the update. I updated Chrome and still don't see that.
Maybe I need to update chrome thought it would be automatic.

@MadMick not sure if that will work as I will be running SMF 2.1.x for the forum in question (if it eventuates)
I do use tinyportal so if it's just code for in a TP block it may well work so sure by all means :) You know where to find me LOL
@Mick - I see that website but do you have a forum where I can see the ads you mention in action? The link seems to be for an unrelated article.

pretty sure I set them all up to, but since there's not a lot of content and more than one post they don't show up
that and google is stupid but you should see an "Advertise Here" after the first and last posts

@landyvlad I don't have a direct link to the forum on the website since I have it acting like a blog.
The top dark banner i have it directly onto the index.template.php [shows everywhere]
