I have just successfully upgraded to RC4 (from RC2). Thank you Simple Machines team.
I also encountered this issue;
"You were unable to login. Please check your cookie settings."
Thanks to the forum I found the solutions posted: For me it was slightly different
LocalCookies = 1
GlobalCookies = 0
Both correct
But login was not fixed until I also changed
gloablCookiesDomain from "org.uk" to 0
I assume this is a bug as the domain was correct, but login did not work until I set this to zero.

No, but it is a valid second tier TLD and SMF's 'what type of cookie do I make' detection does misdetect second tier TLDs.
