Nice and simple mod, good stuff
Maybe one day (or year) I'll update Wayne's Aff mod that he kindly transferred me

Thanks, appreciate it :)

That other affiliate mod is very advanced btw. I bet a lot of members will be happy when you upgrade it.

BTW this installed and works just fine on my clean SMF 2.1.1 test site but when I installed on my live site I get:

QuoteUnknown column 'aff.id' in 'field list'
File: /home2/*****/public_html/*****/Sources/AffiliatesAdmin.php
Line: 355

Edit: Never mind! I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it works fine now! ::)

I had missed this post somehow. Categories will be a nice addition to the affiliates system. However, right now I do not have much free time to work on it, but I have made a note of it and entered it on my to do list. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

Are all of these Integration Hooks belonging to this mod?

Integration Hooks.png

If so, they are inactive so can I remove them if they're not needed? I'm not getting any errors though!

Yes, they belong to the mod. If you are not using it anymore, you can delete them. Otherwise the mod might stop work and possibly throw erros if you remove them while the mod is still installed/active.

Ok well I'm still using it. I was just wondering if they were needed or not and/or why they had an "X" beside them?
I will leave them there then! (I'm just a clean freak) ;)  ;D

The hooks are needed for the mod to work. And it goes for all mods btw, not just this one.

Oh ok I thought if they were X'ed they weren't in use or needed! Thanks for letting me know that!

I always try to ask before I start deleting stuff! ;)  8)

That is a very good practise.

Heidy-ho!   Doing some updates to a site which is using the old affiliates mod.

This mod will conflict, if installed over the previous one, because of the same table name, but different column names.   I exported the old data, changed the import columns and then imported after installing the new mod.

Bug (IM0):   User_id reports the actual Username (login name) rather than the Display Name

Things that would be nice:

Description different from title.  Separate fields for Site Name/title and Description that would allow and extended description would be nice.

Tracking...   you're currently tracking views... Is this clicks THROUGH to the affiliate or views of the affiliate page on the current site?   Tracking both would be helpful to know how many view AND Click through.

Option to report an affiliate link? (send a moderation report?)

If the affiliate does not have an image defined, there is no way to select/click it...
https://test2.turtleshellprod.com/index.php?action=affiliates

pie-in-the-sky: so, many times affiliates require backlinks. Tracking that, however, would drastically increase the complexity of this mod (maybe?)
