Title: Is this a bug?
Post by: DenDen60 on April 09, 2022, 03:07:22 PM
I have many errors like this that are logged in.

That looks like a mod related error, possibly a mod that's been incompletely uninstalled?

Well, did you install a spoiler mod? Have you uninstalled it at any point? Does the file that the error refer to actually exist?

Have a look at this tool to remove any hooks left by uninstalled mods.

that would remove all hooks, not just some of them.

also it marks the mods installed/uninstalled which has nothing at all to do with hooks.

The script has checkboxes which allows for selection. i.e. it will remove only selected hooks and not all of them.

There is a third option as well at the bottom that Says: [ Show uninstalled ] which it will list all uninstalled mods. That will list of mods that are not in use anymore. And making use of the checkboxes, you can remove all the hooks that those mods have left behind.

i helped to get that script created, it has ZERO to do with what you want it to. it will either remove ALL hooks or you do nothing with that part. it is to mark a mod as uninstalled it an issue came up and the database was not correctly updated. please check it if you dont believe me.

Sorry Doug but Illori is correct. The check boxes simply let you mark mods as uninstalled (or installed). The only other choice is to remove ALL hooks.

I have install the spoiler mod and the Sticky Topics Order. I am not sure when they started to appear but I think it is after I put a few dates in the calendar.

AT the beginning, it was saying hook call, : function " sticky topics: hooks"

I uninstall the Sticky Topics Order and then the message changed to quickspoiler, but it is still link to the calendar.

The link is mostly irrelevant,  in this case...  the error is clear  -- your system did not fully install some mods

And again, the error points to a file. Does that file exist?

Yes it does.

Furthermore, I just check my test site and although the two mods are installed, I have no error logs of this nature. I will compare the configuration of both sites just in case there is something different.

Check the file permissions on it too.

In both the test and production site, the code is 666, thus read and write but not execute.

No need to check, I do believe you. It looks like I misunderstood the function of said script. My mistake.

What spoiler mod are you using?

Can you please try something? Can you uninstall the Spoiler mod, but do not remove the data that it has added to the database, (if that is the case as I have not checked its code), then re-install it again and see if it will help? I think that it is worth a shot.

The thing is that on the test site I don't see the errors. I will first compare the configurations of the two sites, just in case. I will come back to you later today.

Indeed. That makes me think that there is no bug at play.

Have you installed the spoiler mod more than once btw? The error that was displayed in the screenshot points to that file as not being present. If you have installed this mod more than once, maybe something has gone wrong somewhere during the process and another uninstall/re-install will/might correct it.

After reviewing the two sites, there were some differences, but minor one. The only thing noteworthy is that on the test site, the calendar was not activated and it uses simple portal instead of ezportal.

As for the question if I installed  spoiler mod more than once, I don't think so. Is there a way for me to check? This being said, since it happen with the  StickyTopicsOrder  too, I still think it is not relevant, since they both worked on the test site.

This is kind of important imo, because that error is being logged when, as per your post above, you  put a few dates in the calendar. Can you activate the calendar at the test site as well and perform the same action that you did at your main forum and see if the error will be logged in there too?

For one reason or another, it stop. I am not sure but it might be link to the calendar some how. I will have a bit more time in the next few weeks so I should be able to test it further.
