will there still be security-upgrades for the 2.0.x?
For now, yes. But it won't be forever.
The team will announce ahead of time when they intend to stop supporting 2.0.

for the time being yes there will be ;) 2.0.19 was released after 2.1 went stable :P
but yes there will come a time when 2.0.x will reach eol and no more updates to it
but at the moment there will still be security updates as needed to the 2.0.x branch until such time the higher ups decide and announce otherwise
*and I will be sad, lol, so many things on my sites will end up being lost because they won't be updated for 2.1.x ... I may end up eventually dishing out some money to get things to work with 2.1.x just so I can update all my sites*

I hear that. For forum owners who have heavily modified their 2.0.x forums, be that through custom mods or manual edits, it is going to take them a good while to have everything upgraded for 2.1.x.
What modifications do you have that will not be updated for 2.1.x, if I may ask? As a rule of thumb, if a mod has been developed for the 2.0.x versions, it should be updated for the 2.1.x versions as well.
If you are using any of my 2.0.x mods, please let me know and I will upgrade it for 2.1.x.

eh not to derail the topic :p but yeah I use a lot of mods that were removed from the mod site or long dead that I've been hacking at to keep them alive and kicking on my sites :laugh: and well then paid mods and custom jobs..lmfao i'm pushing close to 200 mods on my sites :P and that was me already slimming stuff down from the last update :laugh:
