we are currently using Simple Audio Video Embedded 5.1.2 , but for some strange reason it just don`t cut it anymore as to playing .mov file`s,
We get allot of our member`s uploading .mov files now that they want to see displayed on the forum instead of a downloaded file to watch on windows player,
any idea`s anyone as to whats the best player to use now to do this.

That would be great vbgamer45 , Oh by the way your thumbs up mod that we bought is fantastic & the support you give to different versions when we was testing to upgrade to 2.1 was fantastic.

Give this a try. May not work with all .mov files uninstall old version install new version
Seems to work but for some reason i cannot adjust the size of the movie player to make it smaller it just goes full size, But the utube video has adjusted to the correct size.
It should go based on the height/width settings that you have under the media settings in the mod.
This is what i have it set up too and on the utube setting it plays fine but on the moves it goes full screen.
No height setting I noticed maybe try adding one.
I`m wondering if it`s conflicting with tinyportal we have installed, the movie player is much bigger than the utube player,...infact its way to big.
I would view the html on the page and see what the height/width of the video html tag are set to
Or if there is a css conflict that is overriding the height/width settings.
Give us a clue as to where and what i am looking for so i can check please :)
View the html source of the the page where the video is played. Or if you know use the developer tools on your browser to inspect the video element.

Just noticed it the uploaded movie files that go way to large and not the linked movie files, So its like its not resizing the attached movie files everything else is to size and works fine.

yes as an attachment file to upload a full movie file, it don`t seem to resize the file to size for easier viewing on the screen.
There should be settings for that located in a different area.
Admin -> Attachments and Avatars -> Attachment Settings

I would set to 500 for each and see if it helps.
