Currently, to delete a post and warn the user
a- go to post
b- go to user profile
c- click "actions" in profile
d- click "issue a warning" in dropdown
e- select the warning level
f- (optional) add a reason
g- click Issue Warning button
h- return to post
i- click [More] button
j- click "remove" from dropdown
NOTE: I did just notice that there is an "issue warning" option in the [More] (moderation options) which compresses a-d --- but it's still too many steps, IMO.
1- Add a setting to define the level of "delete & warn"
e.g. 25%, 50% or 100%
2- Add a setting for "delete & warn reason"
3- Add a button/option to the moderation tool list for posts. [Delete post and Warn User]
clicking the option will delete the post AND apply the set level of moderation/warning to the user who made the post, including the reason (if defined).
I would think a simple option to redirect to the warning screen after deleting the post would be enough.
I like the purge spammer button in MyBB. Clears all profile, posts etc. I built quick ban on account delete mod just so I can ban spammers via email/ip easier.

If configured, I'd like basically a single click action
What about clicking an an icon on the post which would bring up a warning/infraction screen. Whether it's a warning or infraction is selected, the option if required to delete the post is given. The reason and type gets selected and when Ok is clicked the warning/infraction gets accessed.
Maybe canned replies could also be added. Back when I was a mod on a VB install we used a canned replies mod which made it much quicker when issuing warnings and infractions

we have that feature already for sending a PM on warning a user. it is not always used here as we dont need to contact a spammer.
