Title: Prevent ?action=help and ?action=credits from being directly access
Post by: emmamarshall451 on June 15, 2022, 02:07:05 AM
How can i prevent ?action=help and ?action=credits from being directly access ?

for instance
https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=help
https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=credits

I know this popular message board powered by SMF and when i try to access ?action=help and ?action=credits it just redirect back to its homepage .. is there like setting for that on admin page or i need to write .htaccess rule? thanks  :)

Simple option is to edit the actions array in index.php (SMF will send you to the board index if it doesn't recognize the "action" in the URL), but why do you want to do that?

Not only am I really struggling to think of a good reason to do that, but what's actually even stranger to me is seeing someone actually ask "Hey I know you all created this nice piece of software I use for free, but is there a setting to hide your names?"
