If I had one personal preference, it would be to change the index page board icons so they're not so bright in contrast with the rest of the theme.

Updated some colors and added a logo. Also tweaked the buttons a bit.

I can hardly wait for this to be approved. Nice work.
I still hate the default new/no new icons on the index page but that doesn't take away from the beauty of this theme. :)

I will try and work on some new icons.. Not the best at those lol.

Alright I have some new on/off icons. I think they go much better with the theme.

I have not, but I probably should. One thing I do like about them is the easy scalability. I do have Inkscape installed, but I know little about it.
I played around with them a while back, just taking some online examples and directly editing the code to strip out all colours. The interesting thing there is that you can assign CSS classes to each element of the SVG, just like any HTML element, and then call colour variant palettes via CSS like you would with anything else.

Edit 2: you may have to help me out here because I don't see much difference except for the smilies being at the bottom of the post (which is REALLY cool!).
One suggestion I might make is on the qoute box. It's awful bright compared to the rest of the theme. Making the background something like #bc9781 would be really nice but I don't know if that's still too dark for the text.
As far as the bar above the post, either works though I prefer the last one you posted so I guess the answer to your question is:

Guess I should have specified. I added an arrow to the poster section on left and made the right a different color and more bubble like.
I have also updated the quote and code section box. Here is a full screenshot of it all now. (Still need to update the reply box colors)

With that said, it will go back to normal for smaller screens.
Sorry this theme is taking so long to complete.. I ran into an annoying hey in the heystack like issue...lol(Damn div tag being left open somewhere). Thankfully that is now resolved.
I added some color to the social media buttons aswell.
